Blow on the fan, sacrifice a Turkey and then do a hard reset. Solves 99% of my Xbox One problems.

Dip your hand in the Turkey blood and then press the power button on the front until the console shuts off. Wait about ten seconds then turn it back on.

Disclaimer: Turkey blood does not guaranteed prevention of future problems. Only reduces the chance by 0.002%.

Look at the disk, I guarantee you’ve got the dreaded “perfect circle” scratch. It happens when you move or bump the console while it’s on. The spinning disk touches the laser reader and scratches a perfect circle into it, causing it to be unreadable.

Yeah, there’s a known bug. I usually just do an uninstall/reinstall and that seems to work.

XB1? Reboot. Happens to me all the time, some games cause a futzed cache more than others. Dragon Age: Inquisition is a prime offender. You can go to settings, power settings, and select “restart now”. Turning off an XB1 with the default settings basically puts it in power save, which does not clear a garbage’d cache. Same thing as the “hard reset” djmt1 suggests.

I have issues when I leave mine set for instant on. Because of having to restart any time I tried to load up a game I just set mine to power saver and it solved 99% of my hang ups.

Yeah I restarted it yesterday and it worked. However WRC 5 does not work with my steering wheel and I am sad.
